The Pizza Frenzy @ Ministry of Pizza | Koramangala | Bangalore
01:30Kahlua Mousse |
As mentioned before, we are not big fans of Pizza. However,
we consider it our duty to let you know about new and great places to dig in!
Our latest visit was to the newest Pizza joint in Bangalore which goes by the
name: Ministry of Pizza (Harry Potter fans: not Ministry of Magic).
It is located in Koramangala 5th block right
where the restaurant Mr. Bojangles used to be. They have comfortable interiors
with the best variety and taste of music we have come across. They have indoor
as well as covered outdoor seating arrangements with a pizza customization area
where you can watch your pizza being made!
All that said, let us take you through what this new and
amazing place has to offer. We have created a video for you guys as well so do
check it out. (Please do like, comment and subscribe)
They have a fairly short menu consisting of appetizers, salads, baked pastas, pizzas, desserts and something called freak shakes.
We tried a few varieties of pizza, Bacon Wrapped Prawns,
Fried Mozzarella and Chicken Lasagne, Roasted Beetroot and Goat Cheese salad
and three of their desserts.
To be honest, their
food is very impressive and we could not find even a single major
disappointment factor. The food is surely high on calories but insanely tasty.
Moreover, their extremely well behaved staff make the experience even better.
We tried 4 varieties of pizza: Mushroom Medley, Italian
Sausage, Bacon & Prawn and a customized fully loaded veg pizza (Enjoy the
video and the visuals!).
The pizzas have a medium thick crust but is very soft and the
amount of cheese and butter they apply is very generous. If you are not on a
diet and you love pizza: this is absolutely the place to be!
We started off this feast with the Bacon Wrapped Prawns and
the sweetness of the prawns combined with the smokiness of the bacon and the
ultimate juicy outcome paved the way for a magnificent devouring session ahead!
The Fried Mozzarella was very impressive too. One bite and
the cheese starts oozing out and you just keep stretching! The salt was well
balanced and this shallow fried appetizer hit the spot. [If you love cheese, do
not forget to try this!]
The salad was well balanced in terms of the acidity. The
amount of cheese and the crunchiness of the salad was also praiseworthy.

So now for the pizzas: they give very generous amount of
toppings, be it veg or non-veg. The size of all the pizzas are the same and
they all have a soft and thick crust with loads of cheese. Now, different items
taste differently in the presence of cheese so here comes the “craft your own
pizza” concept.
Mushrooms taste amazing with cheese and so the Mushroom
Medley pizza does not need any explanation. We had never heard of a pizza with
prawns and the bacon and prawns pizza was the one to try. The generous amount
of toppings is a sight for any meat lover. The smoked bacon and the pesto
prawns tasted amazing with the piping hot bread base and mozzarella of course.
The marinara used in the pizza was also fresh and had a tangy flavour.
The Italian sausage pizza had slices of chicken and pork
sausage throughout and this pizza was also totally worth it. We customized a
pizza by ourselves and we called it the veggie overload pizza. It had
pineapples, corn, mushrooms and broccoli and it tasted pretty good. The
sweetness of the pineapple gave it a unique kick.
Time for Lasagne: the pasta layers were well done and thin
and there was a lot of chicken inside. The marinara was as mentioned fresh and
tangy. The chicken was minced and a scoop with the pasta, the chicken and the
marinara tasted heavenly. Try it to believe it! It was served with a well baked
garlic bread. A little bit more cheese in the lasagne will do wonders.

For drinks they have some cool beertails and the good old
beer of course. Their beertails are well balanced and perfect for consumption
with the pizzas.
Dessert time:
We tried their Crème Brulee, Basbousa and the Kahlua Mousse.
Their Crème Brulee was perfect. The crystallization on the
top had the right colour and shattered magnificently. It was very well balanced
with the right amount of sweetness. It was too good to be true!
The Basbousa was a spongy cake type dessert with minimal
sweetness. It was served with caramel on the plate and the combination tasted
great. If you are looking for a light dessert then this is the one.
The Kahlua Mousse was a type of chocolate mousse with a
liquor touch to it. It was brilliant to look at and pretty heavy on the
stomach. The consistency was perfect and so was the layering. A chocolate touch
towards the end of the meal always results in a good mood ;).

That wraps things up from our side. Ministry of Pizza might
be a very recent establishment, but their offerings are one of the best in town
keeping the pricing in mind.
It is a budget restaurant which gives amazing deals and it
is all worth it because their food is delicious!
In case you visit, do let us know about your experience!
We’ll be back soon with something fun, fantastic and about
food of course ;)
Till then—stay tuned and bon apetit!
