But, I have to say that the Team of Air Asia was very warm and welcoming which made me really comfortable! The Food Bloggers we met on that day were even more welcoming and friendly! This proves that people who love food have a big heart!
After a little bit of chit chat with everyone, we proceeded to check out the Food on the Menu. I have to say, they have quite a spread, especially for an in-flight menu. I had NOT anticipated that, so honestly I was quite impressed. Then began the tasting (Putting the spotlight on the food now)
We started with the Breakfast. They have a good variety for breakfast which suits the Indian preferences. They have a Continental, North Indian and South Indian breakfast. I personally loved the Masala frittata with Chicken & Leek Croquette, Herb Potato wedges. This comes in one single meal casserole and if you prefer something vegetarian, you can opt for the North or South Indian options. The Kanjeevaram mini idli and the Mysore Dosa deserve a special mention.
For Lunch or dinner you have Loads of option, plus, Air Asia is the only domestic airline in India which serves Fish in flight! They have HOT meals starting from as low as 200 INR, so you can bid the cold sandwiches good bye! But, if you do want to have the cold sandwiches, they even have that! :P
For non vegetarians, we would suggest the “Murg Tikka Kalimirch,Sun Dried Onion Pulao with Dal“ and “Chicken in Thai Green Curry and Steamed rice ” {Creamy, Lightly flavored and perfect while traveling} , if you are looking for a rice based meal. If you like seafood/fish, then you MUST have the “Grilled basa with parsley lemon butter mashed potato and sautéed greens” .

The fact that the food they serve is not at all the typical, tasteless in-flight food makes me say that the next time I fly, I will fly with Air Asia. They recommend that you book your meal while booking your tickets, so that they can serve you , your choice of meal hot, without fail!
