Valentines Day Special @ Vivanta by Taj - Yeshwantpur | Bangalore

It has been a while that we posted something related to luxury dining and we missed bringing them over to you apart from missing the food as in almost all cases the food makes us go crazy.

We have visited many Taj properties in the past and we were pretty sure that we have been to all of them (In Bangalore). Unfortunately, we were wrong and this time our visit to the Vivanta by Taj- Yeshwantpur for a preview of their special Valentine’s Day arrangements.

So, for those who want to make it special on the upcoming 14th of Feb, here’s what you can expect if you decide to celebrate this special day of love at this luxurious property:

A fabulous selection of food which look & taste delightful & a lot of hearts!

They have a special A.I package (INR 5999) for couples on the big day and they have appropriate plans to make the couples fall in love all over again: heart shaped chocolates, balloons, strawberries dipped in chocolate and much more.

So from the food point of view, here are our views:


Non veg lovers can definitely rejoice and dig in whereas veg lovers do not have as many options. 

They have an elaborate menu out of which we tried a few items. Couples can choose what they want from all 4 of the hotels restaurants. Azure serves Mediterranean & Italian Cuisine, Paranda serves Indian, Palette is the all-day dining with buffet and the bakery, Caramel, boasts of all its beautifully sweet creations.

Tandoori Shashlik


From the vegetarian side, the Jaituni Paneer Tikka and the Paneer Dilrooba are the must try items. 

Both were shaped in the form of hearts and perfect in every way. The stuffing was rich & cheesy in both and tasted spectacular overall.

We also tried the Subz Kalonji which was creamy and well balanced. From the non-veg side, there are many must tries. The seafood preparations were so fresh, juicy & sweet that they changed the entire game.

In short: apart from the Spanish Chicken Pincho all the other items were brilliant. This preparation was not bad in any way, it was simply not as good as the others in terms of complexity & flavours. It was simple with perfectly cooked chicken & a herby touch and won’t disappoint you if you try.

The Jhinga Tajdar was love on a plate. It was partially removed from its shell. Although cooked in a tandoor, it retained all its juices and it is better to experience this than to read about it.

The Lobster preparation was served with Saffron Risotto. The Lobster was sweet and had a creamy texture.

The Lakkadh Gosht preparation was rich & creamy with boneless chunks of mutton. It was also spicy and had the typical spicy after taste.

Lastly, the Shepherd’s Pie hit the spot. Baked in the form of a heart it was also perfect in every way. The meat used was beef and it was well minced. It was moist and tasted marvellous with the mashed potato.

That’s all from the starters and mains. The desserts also had a lot of hearts involved.

The ones to try: Warm Chocolate Fallen cake with vanilla ice-cream & the Malpua Rabri.

The best part about the cake was its consistency. Its mousse like texture contained in the form of a cake was impressive. The combination of chocolate cake & vanilla ice cream always does the trick. 

The Malpua was also in the form of a heart. Perfect golden colour with rabri filled with dry fruits and topped off with saffron.
